PORT COLLECTION 2024-2025
This collection explores a structure formed not as a fixed shape, but as one that emerges fluidly through the repetition and connection of identical units. Rather than existing as singular objects, the forms are revealed through their accumulation and alignment—unfolding a layered composition that extends beyond simple aggregation.
The viewer encounters not a completed form, but an evolving sculptural flow, in which relationships actively shape the experience of form itself.

PORT CHAIR
@ Port Chair — Made in CA

Presented as part of a sculptural furniture series exploring repetition and modular assembly, PORT CHAIR was exhibited in Seoul in 2025.

This work investigates the latent potential of unassembled forms and the visual structures that emerge only through connection. Each unit, carved by hand from red oak, is charred to reveal the grain beneath the surface

Each module is intentionally incomplete, marked by a hollowed center. When multiple units are aligned, they generate continuous curves, overlapping voids, and reciprocal relationships between forms. The emphasis lies not in the completeness of individual elements, but in the moment of structural cohesion that arises through combination.

PORT CHAIR visualizes how form operates through interaction—through simplicity of structure, logic of connection, and the spatial intervals that emerge between units.
More than a functional object, it acts as a modular component that composes and expands space, positioning itself as a unit of sculptural language.
