Root Architecture
Cities are rapidly changing, yet housing systems remain static.
This project seeks to bridge that gap by translating the organic generative principles of spontaneously formed village settlements into a contemporary architectural strategy.
Based on a circulation-oriented organizational logic, dwelling units incrementally attach along the generated paths, enabling the organic expansion and evolution of the overall housing cluster.

Shattered Diamond
128 discarded yo-yos are brought back to life through motion, forming a kinetic chandelier shaped by light and movement.
A single light source interacts with yo-yos driven by three motors, scattering light through their vertical motion in a 120-second cycle.
This rhythmic movement breathes life into the static structure, while the shifting flow of light reveals the cycles of trend and consumption.

Port Chair
Fragmented elements and a singular form circulate paradoxically. As wood reveals its grain through cutting, it mimics geometric and diverse forms. These assembled parts create new expressions at their joints, while the in-between spaces offer layered, unseen images.

The Geometric Code of Humanity
Translating human existence into a universal language, this project reimagines the DNA transcription process as modular geometric structures. Installed at a symbolic birthplace of civilization, the architecture serves as a silent message intended for potential extraterrestrial contact.

An Overcast
This project presents a monumental structure that embodies the traces of humanity’s relentless wars through an aggressive architectural form. By visualizing the scars of conflict, the structure serves as a symbolic space that urges reflection on past lessons and envisions a more peaceful future.

Pollinator Series
This design, inspired by the cyclical nature of ecosystems originating from small organisms, forms the utility and relationship of the furniture through human interaction. The organic curves flow seamlessly, naturally completing the structure and form. This shape symbolizes the role of an intermediary that facilitates the cycle of relationships.
Dimensions: 550W × 400D × 580H mm
Material: Scratched Metal
Path
As a graphic artwork, this piece explores the fractured bond between nature and humanity, encouraging reflection on ecological transition. Through visual narratives of circulation, balance, and existence, it proposes a shift in perception—one that moves beyond a life governed by consumption and control, toward resonance with natural rhythms.
Melting Circle
In response to Korea’s transition into a multicultural society, the design introduces a cyclical spatial system that enables immigrants and local residents to engage and coexist, fostering everyday encounters and cultural inclusion.
